Since 2010, Omnicom has participated in the American Corporate Partners Veteran Mentoring Program. ACP is a New York-based nonprofit that connects transitioning military with business leaders nationwide for career counseling, mentoring and networking opportunities. More than 50 senior leaders from Omnicom have participated with ACP, paired one-on-one with veterans for yearlong mentorships focused on professional development.
Additionally, Omnicom has provided extremely valuable support through many of its agencies. Notably, Roberts + Langer DDB scripted, developed and produced a television PSA designed to bring awareness to ACP's online mentoring program, ACP AdvisorNet. The PSA features several veterans as well as Alex Gorsky, CEO and Chairman of Johnson & Johnson, encouraging Americans to provide career advice online to veterans, to serve those who have served us.
Porter Novelli provided assistance with publicizing ACP's PSA campaigns. ACP has also received strategic advertising and marketing advice from Doremus, BBDO, OMD and the Washington Speakers Bureau. Bob Norsworthy, retired executive vice president of DAS, has served on the Board of Directors of ACP since 2012.
