Omnicom Group Agencies Sweep Top Spots at Cannes

BBDO and DDB Take Home Three Grand Prix

NEW YORK, June 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Omnicom Group Inc. agencies swept the Cannes International Advertising Festival this year, winning each of the three top spots for Agency of the Year along with the number 1 and number 2 spots for Network of the Year.

For the second consecutive year, BBDO Worldwide finished first and DDB Worldwide finished second in the Festival's race for Network of the Year. The award, which debuted at the 2007 festival, honors the top networks with the highest combined scores for entries in the Film, Press, Outdoor, Radio, Media, Cyber, Direct, Promo, Titanium and Integrated competitions.

BBDO New York, AlmapBBDO and DDB London also captured first, second and third place, respectively, in the Agency of the Year competition. BBDO and DDB were awarded a total of three Grand Prix. BBDO's HBO Voyeur campaign was the most awarded campaign at Cannes and captured the Grand Prix in both the Promotion and Outdoor categories.

DDB also won the Grand Prix in Print for its series of ads for Energizer Lithium batteries.

In the Outdoor competition, TBWA\China won that country's first ever Gold Lion. The honored work was TBWA's Olympic Games campaign.

BBDO and DDB combined with TBWA\ Worldwide, OMD Worldwide and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners won a total of 140 Lions, up from 121 Lions for Omnicom Group agencies last year.
