Omnicom Group Agencies Best Campaign and Media Awards

NEW YORK, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnicom Group agency networks topped both the Campaign magazine and Media magazine 2008 awards this month.

Campaign, a leading advertising journal, selected BBDO as Network of the Year for the third time in four years. Sister agency DDB Worldwide, which Campaign noted "has been striding forward in leaps and bounds," followed closely and was named the No. 2 network in the world.

In Asia, Media magazine hosted its Agency of the Year awards where BBDO/Proximity Asia Pacific captured Creative Agency of the Year and OMD Asia Pacific took Media Agency of the Year.

At the awards, Omnicom agencies had more nominations than any competitor. Other notable Media magazine awards for Omnicom agencies included: DDB Australia and New Zealand's Marty O'Halloran as National Agency Head of the Year for Australasia; TBWA\Asia Pacific's John Merrifield and TBWA\Whybin\Tequila New Zealand's Andy Blood as Asia Creatives of the Year; and BBDO/Proximity Shanghai as Office of the Year for North Asia.

Separately, Goodby Silverstein & Partners was named Agency of the Year for 2008 by Shoot, the leading publication for commercial, interactive and branded content production.
