Omnicom Agencies Most Awarded at Cannes

NEW YORK, June 27, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Omnicom Group agencies were the most awarded at this year's Cannes International Advertising Festival.

With a strong performance across all categories, Omnicom agencies were awarded four Grand Prix. These included: the Outdoor Grand Prix, won by Net#work BBDO Johannesburg for Nedbank's "Power to the People"; the Radio Grand Prix, won by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne for Mars/Snickers' "Hoedown"; the Promo Grand Prix, won by TBWA\Whybin Auckland for NZRU/Adidas's "Bonded by Blood"; and a Media Grand Prix, won by OMD New Zealand and TBWA\Whybin Auckland for ASB Bank's "Money Goes Digital."

Omnicom networks BBDO Worldwide, DDB Worldwide, OMD Worldwide, and TBWA Worldwide, along with agencies Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Cutwater and 180 Amsterdam, took home a total of 121 Lions collectively.

BBDO was awarded the first "Network of the Year" honor with the highest score for entries in the Film, Press, Outdoor, Radio, Media, Cyber, Direct, Promo, Titanium and Integrated sections. DDB ranked second in the "Network of the Year" competition.

Separately, OMD was named "Media Agency of the Year," with the highest score in the Media Lions competition.
