Omnicom Provides Confirming Data

NEW YORK, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnicom Group Inc. said today that it has voluntarily provided the SEC Staff with information relating to its previously disclosed change of auditors and the resignations from the Board of Directors of Robert J. Callander on May 22, 2002 and Richard I. Beattie on January 28, 2002.

Omnicom said that the informal request received for this information was not unusual and was anticipated by the Company following last week's press reports. Omnicom also noted that the materials provided confirmed its prior information on these topics.

To keep investors fully apprised, information on these matters, including the resignation letters of Mr. Callander and Mr. Beattie, is being posted on the Company's website.
