Omnicom Agencies Lead The Gunn Report Again in 2009

NEW YORK, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC) agencies BBDO, DDB and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners topped The Gunn Report again this year, walking away with Most Awarded Network in the World, Most Awarded Agency, and Most Awarded Interactive Agency, respectively.

For the fourth consecutive year, BBDO was named Most Awarded Network in the World, while DDB, the second Most Awarded Network, also captured Most Awarded Agency of the Year for work from its London office. Two Omnicom agencies also placed in the Top 5 of Most Awarded Interactive Agencies in the World: Goodby, which ranked No. 1, and Almap BBDO, which tied with several other digital specialists for fifth place. DDB Stockholm, Clemenger BBDO and Agency Republic also finished among the Top 25 interactive agencies.

Since 1999 only four networks have ever led The Gunn Report network table and with one exception all have been the Omnicom networks BBDO, DDB or TBWA. The report noted 2009 is the seventh out of 11 years that BBDO has been named The Most Awarded Network in the World.

Moreover, DDB London is the first-ever three-time winner of Most Awarded Agency in the World. Gunn Report founder Donald Gunn wrote, "There is clearly something magical in the air at #12 Bishops Bridge Road in London's W2."

TBWA\Chiat\Day and Goodby also had two of the top five commercials in the world, while BBDO and DDB had three of the top five print campaigns and Goodby had two of the top five interactive campaigns.
