NEW YORK, April 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Omnicom Group's (NYSE: OMC) OMD and PHD were among the top agency winners at the Festival of Media Awards in Valencia, Spain, this week with OMD taking The Effectiveness Award for Walkers Crisps in the UK, where sister agency AMV BBDO partners on the account and handles creative. Both OMD and PHD are part of the Omnicom Media Group.
OMD also received prizes for the Best Use of Gaming and Gaming Platforms for NBA 2K/Gatorade in the U.S. and Best Use of Performance or Affiliate Marketing for HMV in the UK. PHD was honored for Best Targeted Campaign for the Dove Self Esteem Fund in Canada and The Award for Branding Bravery for the Dove Pro-Age campaign, also in Canada.
Other Omnicom agencies recognized were DDB in China for Philips for Consumer Benefit/Advertising as Service; Tribal DDB for Dove, China, for Best Use of Content; and Goodby Silverstein & Partners and Ketchum for Haagen Dazs in North America with The Media Responsibility Award. GSP also won Best Youth Campaign for the California Milk Processors Board.
In addition, Rapp received a commendation in the Best Use of Mobile category for Strongbow cider in the UK as did OMD for Best Communications Strategy for Walkers Crisps in the UK, and both PHD and GSP were runners up for Agency of the Year.
