Omnicom Wins Creative Holding Company of the Year at The One Show

NEW YORK, May 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- At the 44th annual One Show Awards, Omnicom Group (NYSE: OMC) was named Creative Holding Company of the Year. In total, 51 Omnicom agencies won 332 Pencils and Merits from approximately 20 different countries.

BBDO and TBWA were included among the top 5 highest-ranked networks. TBWA\Media Arts Lab was honored with the special Penta Pencil, which recognizes the successful partnership between agency and client over a five-year period, for their stand out body of work on behalf of Apple. Clemenger BBDO received one of the eight Best of Discipline awards for Transport Accident Commission's (TAC) "Meet Graham" in Print and Outdoor categories.

These wins come on the heels of strong performances from Omnicom agencies at this year's D&AD Awards where Clemenger BBDO and adam&eveDDB were the most-awarded Pencil Winners in the advertising category coming in first and second place, respectively. BBDO New York was one of the top five most-awarded agencies at the show scoring 11 Pencils.

At the recent Festival of Global Media Awards – the only awards to celebrate the best media campaigns from around the world – Touché! PHD took top honors winning the "Agency of the Year" title along with four Gold, three Silver and two Bronze medals. Meanwhile, OMD received six Gold, two Silver and two Bronze awards across multiple clients and categories.

Turning to The Webby Awards, which are widely regarded as the Internet's highest honor, BBDO New York was named Webby "Agency of the Year," having earned more Webby awards and nominations across all categories than any other agency.
