NAFE Names FleishmanHillard to 'Top Companies for Executive Women' for Sixth Straight Year

ST. LOUISMarch 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For the sixth consecutive year, FleishmanHillard has been named to the "Top Companies for Executive Women" list by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). The honor, which will appear in an upcoming issue of Working Mother magazine, highlights organizations whose policies and practices encourage the advancement of women's careers. Results are based on factors such as succession planning, profit-and-loss roles, gender pay parity, support programs and work-life balance.

"Our mission is to provide employees with their best professional experience, so we continually strive to offer an abundance of growth opportunities – and a culture people are proud of," said Lisa Moehlenkamp, chief talent officer. "Every year that we receive this prestigious honor is validation of our efforts, but it also encourages us to set higher standards. It's why we've continued to put such an emphasis on hiring, promoting and training the industry's best professionals."

While many factors are weighed to determine the companies that appear on NAFE's list, a few of the reasons for FleishmanHillard's continued recognition include:

  • Women make up 66 percent of the firm's worldwide workforce.
  • They make up half of the agency's corporate executives with profit-and-loss responsibility.
  • 69 percent of employees promoted last year were women.
  • Women oversee several of the firm's global regions, including Asia Pacific and the U.S. Central and Southwest regions.
  • Women hold the following executive leadership roles: chief marketing officer, chief talent officer, chief information officer, general counsel, managing director of global client relations.

"FleishmanHillard stands out by having women in more than half of the positions responsible for revenue (P&L), a pinnacle it shares with only two other companies on NAFE's Top Companies list," said Dr. Betty Spence, NAFE president. "We attribute that achievement to the company's emphasis on training and education, and we salute the new OmniWomen [Omnicom's women's network], which keeps members informed about P&L subjects."
