NEW YORK, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnicom Group Inc. agency networks TBWA Worldwide, BBDO Worldwide and DDB Worldwide were rated as the most awarded agency networks in the world for 2005 by The Gunn Report for the second year in a row.
TBWA Worldwide was named the "Most Awarded Agency Network" for 2005, with no fewer than five offices among the top 20 most awarded agencies. TBWA's award-winning work for Adidas, Bic and Playstation2 was a factor in their win.
According to Donald Gunn of The Gunn Report, "2005 has been a bit of a milestone year for TBWA Worldwide. They made Adidas the new Nike. Jean-Marie (CEO Dru) stayed. And now there's one further reason for 8,500 hearts to rejoice."
In second place was BBDO Worldwide, whose AlmapBBDO, Sao Paulo office also was rated the "Most Awarded Agency in the World" for the second year in a row. Trailing just behind AlmapBBDO, Sao Paulo, was TBWA Paris. BBDO Worldwide was the top winner of The Gunn Report award in 2003 and 2002.
DDB Worldwide was ranked third for "Most Awarded Agency Network" and was the top network in Europe. DDB Worldwide was last year's winner as well as The Gunn Report's first winner in 1999.
AlmapBBDO, Sao Paulo, AMV.BBDO, London, DDB Madrid & Barcelona, and DDB London were named among the Top 50 agencies for the seventh year in a row.
BBDO Singapore and DDB Germany were among the six new agency offices inducted into the Top 50 of the year.
